Business Profile and Philosophy With over 15 years of Healthcare Information Systems experience, I am committed to working together with clinicians and IS staff to create powerful, user-oriented clinical applications. In addition to my technical and project management background, my experiences as an executive officer and consulting business owner have given me a broad perspective on the current challenges facing the industry. As an applications development analyst for Shared Medical Systems (now Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services Corporation) I was a developer of the highly successful Clinical Observations and Results (COR) application, which serves as a principal foundation of the Siemens clinical applications suite. As a healthcare consultant and as a hospital systems analyst, I have developed an extensive resume of expert-level experience designing, installing and supporting Siemens INVISION® Clinical Applications. I believe that the success of a project depends on a strong collaborative effort between clinicians and technical partners. It is only through a blending of their combined knowledge and experience that a measurably successful implementation can occur. The most creative and “elegant” solutions I have been a part of have in every case resulted from the synergy created by such collaborations. I consider the transfer of knowledge and expertise to be a key measure of a consultant’s value to their customers. With this in mind, I provide, when appropriate, custom-tailored system education, ongoing mentoring of client staff during the course of the project, and clearly written, comprehensive documentation of the implementation. I know that I leave each project with greatly enhanced knowledge and insight. In turn, I strive to leave my clients with value that will last them long after the actual conclusion of the engagement.
